• Project data you enter while using our decision guides.
• Usage data about how you interact with our platform.
• Device and browser information for technical purposes.

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve our services.
• Save your project decisions and progress.
• Send you important updates about your account.
• Respond to your questions and support requests.
• Analyze usage patterns to improve our product.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.

We use a small number of cookies to make our platform work and, with your consent, to understand how visitors use the site. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) are only set after you accept them via our cookie banner. You can review and change your preference at any time on our Cookie Policy page.

We may use third-party services for hosting, analytics, and payment processing. These providers have their own privacy policies and handle data according to their terms.

HouseChalk and CompassCal share the Google consent-screen name HouseChalkApp. Google sign-in provides your email address and basic profile to authenticate your account. CompassCal requests Calendar access separately, when you choose to connect it in Settings.

CompassCal reads events from your primary Google Calendar to show existing commitments and avoid planning over them. It stores event identifiers, titles, start and end times, and all-day status for a rolling window from yesterday through the next 60 days. It does not create, edit, or delete Google events. Refresh credentials are encrypted in the application database; connections to Google use HTTPS. Hosting and database providers process this data to operate the planner.

Optional AI suggestions use Vercel AI Gateway and the selected model provider. Imported Calendar titles are excluded from AI prompts by default. If you convert an event into a planner anchor and remove its AI exclusion, its title can be included when you request an AI summary. You can keep individual items excluded or disable AI in Settings. Google data is not sold, used for advertising, or used by us to train general-purpose AI models.

Disconnect Calendar in CompassCal Settings to remove the stored credentials and cached events and request revocation at Google. You can also revoke access in your Google Account. Planner anchors and annotations you created remain until you delete them. Contact hello@housechalk.com to request deletion of remaining account data.

Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the effective date.
